Many
excursions are available in Pattaya; here are some
examples: the Sanctuary of Truth, Nog Nooch Tropical Garden, the Underwater
World, the Elephant Village, Mini Siam, the Crocodile Farm, Alangkarn,
Kho Larn, and much more that you can easily discover. We can advise
you about them on the premises.
Tropical climate: it is always warm in Thailand (18°
C minimum), and the sea temperature is between 26 and 28° C all
year long. The "cold" season is from November to March, and
the warm season from April to October. Do not encumber yourself with
clothing... The official language is Thai, but English is spoken in
tourist places. If interested, you can obtain the Assimil Thai language
course (book and CD) for French speaking people; it is an essential
tool to discover that language.
The currency is the Baht, divided in 100 satangs (exchance
rate on line, on our site). You can convert Euros and Dollars (or Travellers)
anywhere in the country, or use any major credit card or Eurocard. ATMs
are available everywehere.
Travelling alone does not pose a problem for the inexperienced,
even with little knowledge of English. Thais people are naturally helpful
and, in the most remote corner of the country, they will always find
a nice way to help you and guide you, with a smile. The road signs are
all phonetically transposed in our alphabet.
Travel
documents: no visa is necessary for a less that 30 day stay, but your
passport must be valid for up to 6 months after your date of entry in
the country. You will have no problem obtaining a visa from the Thai
consulate in all major cities for a longer than 30 day stay.
Airline:
Thai Airways and many other airline companies fly to Bangkok from all
the European and America capitals. Ask your travel agent or visit one
of the many internet sites.
